WHAT MAKES A PIONEER A PIONEER
  • All Pioneer Boats are manufactured with the highest grade resins and gelcoats available.
  • Because of industry experience all boats are manufactured with a combination of composite materials which are very durable and built to last.
  • Gelcoat is an ISO-NPG high flex low e gelcoat. ISO gelcoats are typically longer lasting with regards to UV damage and also give the product better blister and crack resistance over the life of the product.
  • The resin system used is also ISO based, and creates a very strong laminate that is durable.
  • All hulls are fabricated with this resin/gelcoat combination with a 56 oz. quad axial laminate made by Vectroply.
  • Over the years, working within the industry, the owners have witnessed boats by other manufacturers develop stringer to hull separations. This condition is almost always fatal to the boat and its ability to be repaired. If they are repaired in most instances the cracks will return. Pioneer setout to make sure this problem would not exist on our boats. Pioneer uses a dual all composite stringer system that is literally part of the hull laminate. The stringers are not simply glued down with a cheap bonding putty. Our stringers are chemically etched to the hull laminate with an agent that would require destroying the laminate in order to separate the stringer from the hull.
  • The stringers are then foam filled which additionally makes them more ridged.
  • Decks are inserted while the hull is still in the mould. This process can be done as the deck of a Pioneer is keyed inside the hull. Most manufacturers use the shoebox method where the deck fits over the hull. The hull must be removed from the mould before the deck can be installed.
  • Once the boat is decked the boat is foamed again to insure upright floatation requirements.
  • We believe so strongly in this method that all Pioneers offer a Lifetime Structural Hull Warranty to the original purchaser.
